SENIOR COMMERCIAL EXCECUTIVE (Brazil)

Through its network of more than 45 strategically located assets and operations in 29 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors. ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.

Consolidate, increase or create a client portfolio for a specific business unit (non-minerals). Be active support in the generation of new businesses and projects related to adding value to the trade of these products or customer portfolio, considering the commercial objectives established in the company´s long-term strategic plan.

Key responsabilities: 

  • Search and attract new clients for the service portfolio of the assigned business unit or create new business units and clients’ portfolios.
  • Analyse the market and competitors in the assigned service and business unit. Propose plans to capture the market and add value over the competition.
  • Monitor clients; operations, coordinating with the areas and performance of the team assigned to this position.
  • Control of the sales budget and KPI of service your assigned business unit.
  • Annual generation of sales projection and customer forecast for a new customer portfolio.
  • Follow up on customer account statements and collections and manage delayed payments.
  • Update rates due to increases from third parties, maintaining margin control of the business unit considering fixed, variable and other costs for the business unit.
  • Participate and lead marketing at trade fairs and events.
  • Execute the necessary actions for compliance and improvement of the integrated management system of Impala Terminals Perú related to its functions.
  • Meet customer requirements through compliance with established procedures for quality control in the service.
  • Take care of your Health and Safety and that of your colleagues during the performance of your activities.
  • Take care that your activities are carried out by controlling the environmental aspects related to your area, preventing contamination.
  • Comply with other functions assigned to achieve the objectives of the area.

  • Graduate / Technician / bachelor degree in foreign trade, international business administration or related careers.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in similar positions as a Sales or Commercial Executive, preferably having worked in temporary warehouses, port terminals or cargo agents.
  • Specialization and/or diploma in International Business, Foreign Trade or similar (desirable).
